Clem started his property career in 1989 at the tender age of 17, working as a weekend negotiator for a large corporate estate agency chain, in Taunton. Climbing his way through the ranks and experiencing employment for several different agencies throughout Somerset Clem ran his first branch at 27. After managing both residential sales, lettings and financial services teams, Clem was approached after 14 years in the industry to run as a managing director of his first letting agency. This local firm soon acquired 2 further letting agencies and thus one of the largest agencies in the southwest was created. During this time Clem became professionally qualified by ARLA and has been a member since 2006.Clem met his wife Lorraine and now has 3 boys who enjoy Football, Muay Thai and Frisbee. Clem loves Rugby and supports Exeter chiefs, was a former coach at Taunton RFC! And is passionate about motorsport and a member of the Porsche Tipec Club! … And is enjoying his campervan life.

Lorraine brings to the team a wealth of property experience spanning over 35 years, predominately in Sales covering London, Essex, Bristol and Taunton. Having management experience and great people skills, to bring to the table to assist Clem Woodward as a successful and unique Letting Agent, concentrating on customer care and evolving the business. Ensuring we provide a bespoke service for Landlords, whilst responding to the needs of Tenants. Lorraine loves supporting her 3 sons who all love sport and enjoys spending time with friends, family and her lovely animals! supports her 3 sons who all love sports and loves spending time with dogs, friends and days out in her campervan!
Giles Irwin
Property Letting’s Manager
Bio
Gilles joined Clem Woodward as the Property Letting’s Manager having previously worked for a leading Independent Estate Agent as a Senior Valuer in Wellington. Taunton born and bred Gilles has a wealth of experience of over 24 years within the property industry having worked across the South West successfully handling the marketing of all types of properties. Gilles looks forward to dealing with your property requirements whether it’s appraising your investment to arranging a viewing. His professionalism, knowledge and approachability provides a reassuring service and is always happy to help. Gilles is actively involved in the local community and in his spare time enjoys rugby and has a great passion for classic cars and loves spending time with his family and friends cycling, walking and swimming.
Alex Withey

After obtaining a 2:1 in his Business & Finance degree at Bournemouth University, Alex enjoyed almost 2 years as a Sales & Development Manager for an up and coming toy retailer. The prospect of working for a thriving and exciting business closer to home in Clem Woodward, has also allowed Alex to develop his skills further and expand his knowledge and having been recently promoted to Finance Manager heading up the department. Alex brings a vibrant and enthusiastic focus with a real eye for figures and hopes to add his own new flavour to the team. Sport and exercise are just a few of Alex’s many interests in life outside of work!
Katie Thomas

Katie joined CWL over 3 years ago as a senior personal assistant, supporting Clem with his administration and bringing a vast experience in residential lettings. She is friendly and professional with high standards, super organised and takes pleasure in looking after all clients. Katie enjoys keeping fit and healthy, spending time with her son and being a 'people person' who loves to socialise.
Ellie May Blackmore
Maintenance Manager
Bio
Ellie has always lived and studied in Taunton and achieved her Interior Textiles degree with Plymouth university. She joined Clem Woodward Lettings in October 2017 as an admin assistant having previously worked as a supervisor in a café environment. After taking a liking to maintenance and the new challenges it brings, Ellie moved and settled within the department and has since progressed to becoming Assistant Property Maintenance Manager. Daily tasks include dealing with maintenance issues reported, property projects/quotes and ensuring the smooth running of the department. Ellie is a smiley, happy and organised person who likes to make sure each job is done to the best of her ability. In her spare time loves to collect Disney, attend gym classes, bake cakes, and spend time with her friends and family.
Jack Woodward
Maintenance and Inspections co-ordinator
Bio
Jack joins CWL following a successful career with Exeter Chiefs assisting with conferences and events. No famous people as yet to deal with here, but happily assisting the maintenance department in all areas, enhancing their customer service and building relationships with tenants. The outdoor lifestyle is very much a part of Jack’s way of life.
Kathryn Marshall

Kath has been with CWL for over 5 years now, having previously had experience in working in commercial property administration. Kath works in the busy maintenance department, mainly dealing with all aspects of the safety certificates for properties ensuring they are kept up to date. Kath enjoys days out with the family and keeping fit in her spare time.
Daisy Ross

Bio
Daisy has recently joined our team in the maintenance department and is settling in very well. This is a change from her previous role in retail as an Assistant Manager and Graphic Design Degree, but we all love a challenge. Daisy helps with the day to day running of the department with a bubbly and eager to learn attitude. Outside of the office she enjoys going to fitness classes and socialising.
Chris Lye

Chris Joined the CWL accounts team recently. He is local to Taunton and has lived in the area for over thirteen years. He brings with him nearly twenty years’ experience working in a finance/administration role for various companies and industries. He is also AAT qualified in bookkeeping and loves the area of finance because it’s either right or wrong. Outside of work, Chris enjoys sport, music and running around after the kids for their various activities.

In October 2023, Emily joined the busy lettings department and is enjoying the new challenges of working in the property industry, as well as gaining experience and friends along the way. Outside of the office she loves to go running and play football, and also loves to socialise, travel, and spend most of her free time spending time with her dog!!

Bio
Being CWL’s property inspector, Eugene is an integral part of the team. Carrying out property inspections to ensure safety and overseeing the properties on behalf of the landlords. And supporting the maintenance team in their day to day operations. Eugene enjoys family time and is a very competent guitar player/teacher!
